TAPWA, for its relentless efforts, was adjudged as the winner of STAR Achiever Award during 40th year celebrations of National Integrity Cultural Academy, Chennai on 19th October 2008. The recognition included a Gold Medal and appreciation certificate.

TAPWA was selected as the best NGO for it's women welfare activities in the state of Tamil Nadu during the year 2006.The Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr.M.Karunanidhi delivered the award on the eve of Indian Independence day on 15th August 2006 at Chennai.
